sjorss Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 Hello all! I've got a problem with booting-up my Mac (iPC 10.5.6 lastest PPF). When I start-up in -V mode, it keeps hanging on: "iTunesphonedriver.kext" has no explicit kernel dependency, using version 6.0. And then it stops booting. What am I supposed to do? Thanks! When I try to apply the patches which're given in your previous post (-v -x doesn't work, -f doesn't work as well) I have to boot in -S. But my mac doesn't allowed me to boot in -S, as it gives the same error. Can you explain me how I can boot in Single user-mode (or can you explain me another way). Beerkex'd Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 On my hackintosh, the next message that appears after that is from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, something about finishing initialisation. Depending on your hardware, your problem could be with that kext. You can boot from your install DVD, open terminal, mount your hackintosh HDD and delete it from the extensions folder. I am not going to go into details, there are plenty of guides on how to do it as it is a very common problem, especially after a system update. While you're there, also run Disk Utility and repair drive/fix permissions. I've got that kext loaded and working on my system but after making some driver changes in a half-assed way I got a freeze during boot at the same point. I didn't suspect AppleIntelCPUblabla.kext because it normally doesn't cause trouble on my system. Later I discovered that I could only boot if I disabled my integrated LAN in the BIOS. Some sort of IRQ or address conflict I guess. The funny thing is, the only thing I had messed with was sound drivers. Then I did a CMOS reset, put my BIOS settings back where they were and I could boot again. So that's another thing you can try. If you don't know how to do a CMOS reset or what it is, read your motherboard manual and google 'CMOS reset'. toldor Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 its the problem with the ATA-drivers...i had the same problem in the beginning. try to use the ATA-drivers from kalyway 10.5.2 cp -r *ATA* /System/Libary/Extensions/ ;-) or other way is to change the cables of your SATA-drives.
