Evil-Ducky Posted June 22, 2009 Share Posted June 22, 2009 hello everyone, i have problems installing mac OSx i tried 3 distro's but non of them worked for me. i tried iDeneb_v1.4_10.5.6, Kalyway and LawlessPPC-Leo-10.5.4. everytime i try i get a "still waiting for root device" error i googled it but can't find a solution. my hardware: MSI K9A2 Plat. AMD790FX AMD PHENOM X4 9950 AM2+ 2600BOX BlEd Seagate 500 GB SAT2 ATI HD4870 Asus 20x DVDROM WRITER (IDE) i tried -x, rd=disk0s1, rd=disk0s2 but nothing worked for me. i guess it have something to do with my SATA Hard Disk, but i can't find a solution. i also have a version (LawlessPPC-Leo-10.5.4.) where i get in the installer but if i go to disk utility it only sees my dvd drive and not my HDD Evil-Ducky Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/171904-help-with-installing-mac-osx/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Evil-Ducky I been looking for help also trying to get my 9950 to work, i am going to try iPC that is my next step. I thought lawless was the solution but didnt work for me either. Im at work right now but when i get home i can get the drivers i installed to ya. I just wanted to let you know that you can get ideneb to work with a 9950. just carefully pick your drivers. I hope that answers the question, its a NVIDIA GeForce6100 boad /nForce430 Chipset and lan is PHY 10/100 LAN PM me if possible, id hate to steal this guys thread.
