Dear All,

I have built a hackint0sh based on iDeneb 10.5.7. however i can play 720p videos okay, however 1080p's just don't play, jerky etc...

My hardware under windows 7 is more than capable so what could it be?

My hardware is as follows:

SATA Hard drive + dvd

P5Q-E mobo

Q6600 cpu

BFG 9800GTX+ grfx

Any suggestions would be greatly received and I will endeavour to find out any information you might need to help me, and people with a similar problem sort this!

Many thanks, James

UPDATE:

I have been looking and i think it might be my grfx card, i will try using EFI strings tonight with osxtools. any suggestions on this would be helpful as i can't find much about my card the gtx+ not the standard gtx. I have read it's the same as the geforce 220?

UPDATE:

How can i tell if my CPU - Q6600 has been detected okay?

OSX86Tools already comes with a fully working Device Property String for the 9800GTX+. Don't forget to delete your injector.kext before rebooting.

If you have problems with shutdown and S3 sleep, forget about the Device Properties String and instead register over at the Project OSX forums (google) and download NVEnabler.kext. Read the release thread over there for more information.

About the CPU; open terminal and type sysctl machdep.

I have a Leadtek Winfast 9800GTX+ and I can play 1080p videos just fine. I'm using VLC.
