UniXXer
Hi all, i have successfully installed Leopard 10.5.5 (iDeneb 1.3 with Nvidia Patch) on my PC *woohoo*. (Finally i got wasting 5 evenings and 4 empty dvd's ;-) ) Here is my hardware configuration: Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 Asus P5N-E SLI NVidia Geforce 7950 GT 512 MB 2GB RAM Old IDE 30GB HDD IDE DVD +/- Drive Network (unknown - not OnBoard) The Installation was quite easy, i have used the following packages: - ALC 883 (not tested if it works) - Creative Sound Blast - Kernel: Dunno at the moment (highest number of iDeneb 1.3 maybe 9.4 ?) - Skge Marvell - NVInject 256 MB (iDeneb detects my gefroce with 256MB so i decided to use the 256 MB variant of NVInhect and not the 512 MB variant) - EFI Studio - OSx86 Tools Well as i said the Installation was easy. I have just jumpered my IDE drives to be the master drives on the primary (DVD) and secondary (HDD) IDE bus (The installtion cannot be done on my configuration without that settings). The problem is, that my osx takes 15-20 Minutes to start! I cannot image that this is a normal behaviour. Do you have an idea what i can do, so that the system speeds up? Here is an example of the behaviour of my system: After i have logged in onto the system and start a program (for example safari), it takes about a minute or so and the program runs very slow. But after a while (for example opening the second website with safari) the program speeds up. cheers, UniXXer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/171796-slow-boot-process/ Share on other sites
