mrkazoodle
what happened: installed ubuntu (32 bits, ext4) partition 3 (I guess, I think 2 is the swap partition) installed xp partition 1 installed mac (kalyway 10.5.2) partition 4 my problems: 1) what should I do if I want to use GRUB for booting? (btw: I don't like darwin) can I just reinstall grub and add some lines? I know xp is alright with grub, but can I use it with mac? (I reinstall it like this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351) EDIT: found what I've been looking for, still don't know what to do with darwin after installin grub http://cy8erpunkthunk.blogspot.com/2006/03...-and-osx86.html 2) registration At the first boot of Mac I filled out the form (not with my real name or something like that), (it wouldn't skip when I pressed alt + q (well, alt + a, scince I use azerty but it din't recognised it) or was I meant to click on shutdown?) but I made sure it couldn't connect to the internet, so is there still a way from preventing mac to register? 3) updating is it in any way possible to update a kalyway installation in the normal way? (I installed the vanilla kernel, this is the original one I guess) (btw: E6550, 8600 GT, Asus P5K SE, 2GB RAM, 500 GB Seagate Barracuda ES) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/171662-triple-boot-using-grub-questions/ Share on other sites
