jrdxhack
Hey guys this is my first post here. I have been following the boards for a while and decided to give this a shot. After a few long nights and 10 packs of cigarettes later I have successfully installed a stable osx86 ( ideneb v1.4 ) with ethernet ( stable ) and wifi ( sketchy ). Also I was able to get a fixed screen resolution of 1400 x 1050 on my HP w2207h monitor. So far so good the system is very stable and I have been running a dual boot with vista. All of my usb's work ( keyboard, mouse , 500 gb MY Book), dvd drive, and sound. My ethernet worked right out of the instantly with the Realtek patch in the installer and my wifi works by patching the IOfamily kext and using kismac. I say 91% of the time on reboot the wifi will work. But it's a pain having to go through kismac to get it to work. I just figured I would post my success story and possibly give hope to all those AMD HP users out there. Under this I will post my specs. If you have any questions or advice you would like to ask me go ahead. Being new myself I am always willing to give help. Cristian0411
Hi, I have the same computer as you and i would like to know how you got any networking. I tryed iDeneb and everything went smoothly but it didn't detect any Ethernet nor Wifi cards. It would be helpful if you would please tell me what drivers you chose. Thank You. Sorry i know this is kind of a bump. Sorry i know this is kind of a bump. Wifi is not working with the AR50007. It is only a workaround..there is a thread somewhere here on how to do it but IMHO it is a HUGE pain and not worth it until someone gets a working kext for this thing. I have been trying for a couple months to install any version of OSX on my DV9720US and it just doesn't want to work. It's either hard drive or the Wifi that gives me issues everytime. tzag
Hey I have a HP DV7 2110sa, its exactly the same specs as your dv5, however I have a Mobility Radeon HD4530. I've tried installing iDeneb 1.4 however, upon reboot (after installation) all i get is a black screen, I dont even get the bootloader or the darwin loader :S. Is there something i'm missing? Also what drivers did you select to get everything working? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/171550-osx-ideneb-v14-dual-boot-vista-on-amd-hp-dv5-1004nr-success-w-wifi/#findComment-1494152 Share on other sites
