nosushi4you
Hello, I have iPC 10.5.7 with everything working, except my wireless (damn 4965agn. ) I have read up a bit and I have found that this USB wifi adapter comes recommended: http://www.amazon.com/F5D7050-Wireless-802...r/dp/B0002HA7FY I just have a few questions about it. I went on the Belkin website and went to download drivers, but the only ones available are for Windows, not for mac. Does that mean this just works out of the box? Also, I read that I might need to reboot using -f to get these to work. The thing is, I use chameleon bootloader, so I don't know how to boot using -f. Is there any way to do this? Lastly, if anyone has had any bad experience with this adapter, or knows a better one that works with no problems, please let me know. All I need is working wifi to have a fully working mac book. nosushi4you
Would these drivers work? http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Macintosh.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/171438-usb-wifi-adapter/#findComment-1181642 Share on other sites
oldnapalm
Yes, it works with those drivers. I'm using this http://www.edimax.com/en/support_detail.ph...8&button=Go it's based on the same chipset. But it's not airport compatible, it has a config app and works as an ethernet adapter. Dontocsata
If you haven't already bought it...I'd suggest this adapter instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16833166026 Same price, but it's N. And it includes Windows and Mac drivers. I'm using it on iATKOSv7 10.5.7, so I'd expect it'd work for you too.
