DrivinWest
Can somebody explain what BeamSync actually does and what risks there are to turning it off? There are many threads about how to disable it but none that actually explain what it does (as far as I can tell). Also, how does one see if it has indeed been turned off? peakymonster
beamsync is actually v-sync as far as i know when v-sync is on the maximum frame rate can only match the refreash rate of your monitor for example 60hz your computer can olny draw a maximum of 60 frames per second the down side of no beam sync is a tearing affect which you may notice on pc games i think the graphics card stores 2 frames ahead in memory which results in faster performance but causes tearing hope that helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17132-need-help-disabling-beam-sync-for-good/#findComment-111237 Share on other sites
Proteo
I dunno if you tried this, but so far that was the only way I got it working: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?s=...ndpost&p=102418 You won't need beamsync.gz.
