I booted into Windows and ran chkdsk. That resolved it, but I'm scared to try it out again). But I really like the Chameleon bootloader. I haven't tried it yet. So my question is, can I still have Chameleon if I don't have OS X? I multiboot Win 7, XP and Ubuntu currently. I've downloaded Chameleon 2 RC1, it's a pkg file. What do I do with that? Any instruction would be great. Or if there's already a tutorial out there, it would be great if you can give me the link to it. Thanks. TurdWise Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 Yes, you can install chameleon from linux. as per http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=314 or you can chainload it from grub by putting the file "boot" from the chameleon binary download (not the .pkg) in a suitable palce & calling it as a multiboot kernel, there is some fat32 support in chameleon, but whilst it worked fine for me it hasn't for others, ymmv. Now I don't have any bootloader on that drive and I was going to reinstall GRUB, but I thought I'd try Chameleon instead because it looks good. Chaining it with GRUB seems a nice idea as I'll still have the customizability of GRUB. Thanks again, TurdWise and pookeye.
