tylerdvorak
So I just realised that osx works absolutely perfectly the way I wanted it to on my pc. But for some reason, I installed it with a 10.5.2 kalyway DVD. Im planning on instead of going through the painful process of updating, im simply going to reburn a CD with kalyway 10.5.6 on it. After this point, will updates work like normal? Or will there still be a process to it? tylerdvorak
Im changing this. Kalyway seems to be very hard to update. Are there any easy ways to do it? Do I really need to update or will it work fine the way it is. Also, do we know if we will ever be able to download updates like normal with the system updater. And for the meantime, how can I update everything except the system so I don't break it. Also, Would I be able to update to 10.5.7 with the ideneb combo update? charleseladams
If you can remember the settings that you use to get Kalyway 10.5.2 working, I recommend using iDeneb 1.4 (10.5.6) as this can be updated (so far) to 10.5.7 using the unbuilt Apple Software Updater. I was using Kalyway and had the same problem. iDeneb uses a Decrypter/Disabler so Software Update works fine. tylerdvorak
Settings on kalyway were easy. I'll try and download ideneb. Thanks! EDIT:I downloaded ideneb and installed it. It works great, im going to try to update to 10.5.7 now! tylerdvorak
Just a quick update. I installed Ideneb, and successfully used ideneb 10.5.7 combo update to update to 10.5.7. Everything seems to work fine right now. Although I did get some wierd kernal panic, but it didn't effect anything too much.
