dustintinsley Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 I am building a budget hackint0sh using the GA-G31M-ES2L motherboard. I am building this for the kids to learn on and will be using some myself. I was considering going with the Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 cpu or the Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale cpu. Price difference of $80 so thats not a big deal either way. I do plan o overclocking and heard the e5200 can get past 3.0ghz easily if oc'd. Which would you guys do? I dont know much about overclocking (but will do my research on this before i actually do it) or either of these 2 cpus, so any and all help is appreciated... avhenig Posted June 15, 2009 Share Posted June 15, 2009 yes i believe it is compatible. i would go with a core 2 quad, like the q8200. Because it has 4mb cache instead of 3mb. And it's got four cores instead of two. And it's not much more expensive.
