MrGreencastle
Alrighty. So I've spent the last few days mucking around with different installs of OS X on my Acer Travelmate 2480 (Intel Celeron M, 945G Graphics chip, ALC882 audio) I've finally gotten something that I am happy with. My method was using the iAtkos v4i 10.5.4, then upgrading to 10.5.7 Almost everything works, save for the Ethernet (Yukon 88e8038) which I don't care about, and the SDHC reader, which I'm off to next. Now, I have sound working, and it worked immediately after the install, without selecting any drivers or anything. Changing volume and balance works perfectly using pref pane, menubar, or the keyboard Fn keys. My problem is this: While I enjoy being able to listen to sound from the speakers just fine, I often like to listen to my music using headphones. And the way I have everything set up right now, simply sticking the headphones into the jack does nothing, nor does the pref pane give me an option to manually set it to do so, which I would be very much fine with. So, is any up to helping me with this problem? Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/170556-please-help-with-alc882/ Share on other sites
