ultratux
Hi folks, I am able to successfully install in the Asus Nova Lite PX24 with both 'Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd' and 'iPC_OSx86_Leopard_10_5_6_Intel_AMD_SSE2_SSE3'. Upgraded to 10.5.7 with 'iDeneb.Combo.Upgrade.KIT.1057'. In all cases, the Realtek gigabit ethernet works fine but not the Atheros wireless. Realtek audio also works with ALC888 driver, but sound only outputs via the headphone jack instead of the built-in stereo speakers. The ATI HD 3450 display works in 1280x1024 (with some simple modifications. By default it's 1024x768). So far, still struggling to find a proper driver for this display. Steps to change default display resolution: 1.) Edit the file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist and make these changes: <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>"Graphics Mode"=1280x1024x32</string> 2.) Reboot. The reason I can only set to 1280x1024 is because that's what my current monitor can support. Feel free to try higher resolutions, let me know if it works Have not tried the method from this link yet: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t132491.html Will update if it works or crash - fingers crossed. Confirmed the above method works! I can now set the desired display resolution from System Preferences -> Displays. However, as you all may know, Quartz Extreme (QE) is not supported in this Kext. Hope someone can solve this issue soon. QuartzGL is Enabled via the OSx86 Tool. On the other hand, I noticed the boot up time increased for some reason. During boot up, it seems to freeze at the White Apple screen, but after something like 20 sec, the log in screen will appear.
