ikaracolt
Hi, I am completely new to OSx86 (In fact I have never even used a Mac...) and am very keen to try it out and see what it can do. I obtained iDeneb 1.4 10.5.6 , burned it to disc and installed it using a Sata drive to a spare hard disc. This took less than 30 minutes and went very smoothly. When i rebooted it hanged. I tried using "-v" to see where it went wrong and found - "10485 Buffer Headers and 4096 Cluster IO Buffer Headers" to be the last line. I did some googling and found that my problem was an 'ACPI' issue with my motherboard - an MSI P35 Neo2. I found a lot of posts and bits of information, references to patches and SSE2 and even a how-to guide about the issue, but I could not make sense of them all or get a picture of what I needed to do - particularly as many solutions involved using a working installation of OSx in the first place. I tried re-installing using different kernels and options, and using cpus=1, but got the same error every time. I do not use any IDE devices. I have a working XP install on my main hard drive that can 'see' the OSx partition, but no working OSx installs at all. Please can somebody clarify for me what I can do to get a bootable install? Many thanks.
