stefan1968 Posted June 12, 2009 Share Posted June 12, 2009 I just built a new hackintosh using a gigabyte ex58-ud5 MB and an i7 920 CPU. I followed the awesome guide by digital dreamer and things are going well. Everything is working but I notice that in the "about this mac" profile, the ram is listed as running at 400mhz. It shows the proper amount of ram (6 gb). in the bios setup, the ram is running at the clock speed of 1600. Anyone have any ideas? The ram is corsair ddr3 1600 dominator ram. Changing the ram timing settings in the bios makes no difference so I think this is an osx issue.
