I have not purchased anything as of yet, but I'm looking for advice as to what to purchase to make my life easier. I'm not huge into hacking so I'd really like this to go smoothly. I've read through this guide: http://tgrounds.blogspot.com/2008/10/osx-l...1055-on-pc.html and that's basically what I'm hoping to follow. I'm not a gamer by any means, I just wanted to build a nice computer. Please tell me what to change to make this go smooth or if these should work out of the box. The CPU supports SSe3 and all of that good stuff, but I'm not sure if thats enough. Also I know video cards can be a hassle. gonintendo Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 I'm a noob too, and I couldn't even get the installer for ideneb 10.5.7 working on that same mobo. It's great for windows, but i dont know about mac os. any help is welcome, it gets stick on loading a sata driver I think. AMD is very difficult to use for osX since apple checks the cpuid of the processor. This CPUid should be intel (that's an easy way of telling it). It is possible to use osX on AMD, but this is certainly not the path to go if you are a noob. The best thing is an intel processor, on a well supported motherboard (check the hardware database, http://www.insanelymac.com/osx86db/ ).
