Kingdavid216
Hello, I am new to OSx86 and wanted to give it a try. I am on an HP 6930p EliteBook (here are the specs: http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_ki...eBook6930p.pdf) I have the OSx86 1.4v 10.5.6 already burned and fine but when I go to -v I get this: (This is just from the last part where errors occured) "Can't determine immediate dependencies for extension org.tgwd.driver.ACPIPS2Nub Extension "com.apple.drives, driver AppbACPIThermal has no explicit kernel dependency; using verison 6.0 IOPCCard Bridge:: start failed Firewire (DHCI) ID 1180 ID 832 PCI Now active, GUID 5566778811223344; max speed s400. Error: Firewire unable to determine secruity mode: defaulting to full screen. Still waiting on root device." I don't know if I can even get past this or if I can even do it on my laptop, but I'm giving it a shot, any advice would be great, thanks! sapinside
Hi, I am using same HP notebook to try installation as well. But my notebook installed Vista already. I shrink the HD to have a 55GB partition. Now I burned BOOT-132 on a DVD then boot up the notebook. later I replace BOOT-132 DVD with retail 10.5.6 DVD when I saw 1st screen. I just enter twice and cliCK F8 to continue the installation. after F8, i typed -v in the screen and continue. I saw a lot of message and then see the background pic and also the mouse is rolling. However, I waited for almost 1 hour. Still nothing happen, Mouse can be moved and still rolling. But harddisk and DVD is not working. Please help as well. sapinside
HP Elitebook 6930p is on the the list in http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...0.5.6/Portables. So the hardware should be ok to install. The rest of issue is to find the right installation way. wskim
I solved this problem. I installed iPC 10.5.6 on my HP 6930p. I selected below driver. - Intel ICHx Drivers (Chipset) - IOPCIFailiy.kext(Patch and fix) - Power management(Patch and fix) How about reinstall OSX with this driver? But I have problem graphic card. Now I am looking for ATI mobility RADEON 3450.(Device ID: 95c4) Does anyone know graphic card driver? In additional, don't select FireWire mount fix (Fixed and patches). According to my exprience, It makes error in booting.
