I'm using iDeneb 1.4. Any suggestions? Should I try with iPC or whatever the other one is? demize95 Posted June 11, 2009 Author Share Posted June 11, 2009 Ok, I installed with the nforce drivers, voodoo kernel and acpi fix, and it gets to USBF : 0.945 AppleUSBOHCI[0x2381800]::InitializeOperationalRegisters non-NULL hcDoneHead: ox3bf72140 and then still waiting for root device. Any luck with yours? iDeneb 1.4 is the only distro I've been able to boot with this computer and I've tried many. I'm having a similar issue, though it's not isolated to the line you've quoted. After a successful install, it will just hang during the initial boot at a seemingly random line everytime. It's hardly ever the same line and the hard drive will keep accessing after words every minute or so. I booted into Single User mode and checked the system.log and found that a lot more entries were there than were displayed on screen after it seemed to stop and it was mostly a looping segment regarding attempting to load Setup Assistant and it crashing.
