~Mr.Lonely~ Posted June 7, 2009 Share Posted June 7, 2009 ok first of all i m a new macbook user =) i just got my macbook 3 days ago ... i changed the HDD in my macbook MB466LL/A with a 500GB complete empty HDD and format it as windows vista 64 bit ultimate version. After finish the installation i apply the vistaloeader.exe and the windows show activated but after i install the bootcamp64.msi my windows show up expiry in 30 days... Questions 1) can i know any1 success in doing this ? 2) can i know this happen cause by? windows 64bit activation and bootcamp or ? 3) is there anyway to use non-legit version of windows vista 64bit with bootcamp installed? any1 can help me? sonicspeed720 Posted June 7, 2009 Share Posted June 7, 2009 well, the main reason you're having issues is most likely caused by attempting to circumvent microsoft's security. apple must not like that? one thing i did notice (but it may because i have a 2.2GHz MBP, one of the first) is that the first partition needs to be HFS+ (the second is NTFS assumedly) so that disk utility leaves the 200MB space between the first and second partition to emulate the BIOS that windows uses (macs use a newer EFI boot). with windows being the first partition, sure, vista does support EFI boot. but it's highly possible that the rudimentary software of the vista loader only supports BIOS Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/169657-help-needed-bootcamp-vistaloader-vista-64bit/#findComment-1172005 Share on other sites More sharing options...
