Hey, everyone. First post, on this forum because I'm really in the need of a helping hand. I'm currently sitting on Kalywy 10.5.2 (sleep kernel). However I wish to install a combo update. Though no matter what combo update I use (e.g. 10.5.5, 10.5.3 etc) it will freeze right at the end of the installation. :(

Now I'm following Nektas' method of installing this update. To be exact: http://netkas.org/?p=50

"once update finished, press ctrl-c in terminal window, to stop script, don’t press restart !" - this is the step that everything seems to go wrong. As i try to move my mouse or use my keyboard, towards the completion of the setup, my OS X just locks up!. Nothing else to do but to restart.

Even more annoying is that when i restart my computer, my Mac OS X is bricked -_-

So I've ended up re-installing a few times. But I hooked up a secondary hard-drive and used time-machine to back up everything.

Any idea or help would be wonderful in regards how to get around this or another tutorial. I really want to upgrade because of the requirements of many new apps. Thanks! :)
