10.5.7 reboot and shutdown

There are many troubles about rebooting and shutdown, but you can solve them on the kexts driver side, you should at the end have this other kind of problem.

So assume you are using right audio kext (in my case my alc1200), right LAN kext etc etc, your OSx is well configured.

This is a system.log, during a failing shutdown:

You can recognize this kind of trouble, because the system when has this kind of problem at the end reach the reboot or shutdown, it takes 50-60seconds but it will have success.

If yours is never rebooting/shutdowning then you're not in this case.

 

At the end, any help?

 

I read on the internet that Apple Assistance, backuped data and reinstalled OSx, to solve this.

There's a funny thing, this doesn't ever happens, but just about 40% of reb/shut
