mmhardky
So I wanted to order the G31M-ES2L and I've found out there is the regular G31M-ES2L and a G31M-ES2L rev1.x which supports FSB 1600MHz and RAM 1066MHz... Any experience with the newer revision? Is it still as hackintosh compatible? Zaap
Hmm... I'm not aware that there's any version other than the G31M-ES2L rev. 1. (Mine is rev.1004 according to the manual). Maybe you're thinking of the G31M-S2L? To my knowledge, the E version is the rev.1 of the non-E version. (For Gigabyte, the E just means + energy-saving features). At any rate, both work fine for Hackintosh. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/169506-g31m-es2l-rev1x/#findComment-1171173 Share on other sites
mmhardky
No, it's both G31M-ES2L. The rev1.x supports faster FSB. I have found these in several online shops. Zaap
Look at Gigabyte's site and try to find anything other than a rev.1 G31M-ES2L. There is no such animal. It's just the E revision of the G31M-S2L. There is no version of G31-S2L that doesn't support 1600 FSB via O.C.
