kennethav
I'm using iPC to install of Leopard 10.5.6, but I'm getting hung up on the drivers for audio/video/ethernet. I've tried to select various drivers during the install and/or to add them using EFI Studio post-install, but neither seems to work. The basic installation (w/o extra drivers) seems to work, so I'm thinking that iPC might be fine for my purposes. I'm really a newbie at this, so I could use some advice. Should I... - Start over with a different installer (retail/ideneb/kalyway)? - Try different drivers/patches to fix what I've already got? I've got Gigabyte GA-G31M_S2L board w/ Intel Core 2 Duo (E5200) and ASUS EN8400GS w/ 512M RAM. I used Easy BCD to create a dual-boot setup for Vista/Leopard. Vista resides on a new, 500GB SATA drive, while Leopard is on an old PATA, 120GB drive. The on-board ethernet is flaky under Vista, so I'm using an external (old) Intel Pro/100+ card instead. I found what I thought were appropriate options in iPC (and EFI Studio) for those components, but they don't seem to work. When adding the Nvidia driver using EFI Studio, for example, I'm left with a configuration that won't boot (everytime it starts up, it says I need to reboot). Thanks in advance for any advice...
