I can install just fine from iPC PPPF5 final, I can even boot fine without doing a CPUS=1, but I have to have APIC Mode turned off in the BIOS. I have tried about every kernel and patch config on the disk, but nothing seems to make it work. And, I would normally try and get a BIOS update to see if this could be fixed, but I cannot because it's a Gateway motherboard from the old Gateway, which no longer exisits. It's an ECS board, and I've written them, asking for an updated BIOS, but have not heard anything back. Does anyone know of any other potential fixes to get both cores working? The result is interesting. You should have a look.
