I have the still waiting for root device error Shared Memory is set to 6MB in my BIOS and I have Artefacts Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/169048-gma-900-64mb-of-vram/#findComment-1168801 Share on other sites
riws
Shared Memory is set to 6MB in my BIOS and I have Artefacts So it basically takes so much RAM for VRAM as it need. Cursor Artifacts does not come from VRAM Size. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/169048-gma-900-64mb-of-vram/#findComment-1168819 Share on other sites

I think it's the FrameBuffer I would like to update to 10.5.7 but I get a still waiting for root device if I install it, Maybe because I'm using Intel ICH w/o AHCI drivers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/169048-gma-900-64mb-of-vram/#findComment-1168821 Share on other sites

SticMAC™
For one... I made a CCC/Chameleon clone of the HDD and booted from there, then I ran the COMBO update in order to overwrite anything and everything. then I used PcWiz's OSXTools to install all the kexts in the zipfile to your working drive. Afterwards just MAKE SURE YOU USE BIOS V08 and THAT THE SATA OPERATION IS SET TO COMBINATION, and you are good to go! Here is a link to All the files I used... http://www.mediafire.com/?eyqmwm0jjzw edit: Here a link to a kext to get the BroadCom NetXtreme (57xx) working it gives 00:00:00:00:00 as the mac address but for some silly reason still connects to the internet! Don't try and "fix the mac address with trying to add it via the terminal as it only causes KPs! Sorry, but I didn't got it to work But I have a question for you How did you upgraded to 10.5.7 ?
