skippy911
I was able to install osx on my hp9600 with 3.6ghz processor, 512ram, and 100gig harddrive. The wireless network was detected, hence me posting this. Problems: Display: The laptop has a native res of 1650x1200 but I cant get it to display that it keeps reverting to 1280x1024 Audio: I tried to patch the audio but I get this error message kextload AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext kextload: extension /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext is not authentic (check ownership and permissions) kextload: extension /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext is not authentic (check ownership and permissions) Any help would be much appreciated. ~skippy911 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16892-problems-with-osx-on-hp-nx9600/ Share on other sites
skippy911
Well I got audio working now so the only 2 things not working on the laptop are the screen resolution and the ethernet card. I could live without ethernet, but I really want to get the resolution working. Anyone have any ideas? When I bootup I put ?video and get as the last entry 1600X1200X32 I tried that but it wont work I also tried 1400x1050x32 since it shows up as a res also, both revert back to 1280x1024. I am using this command to pick the resolution: "Graphics Mode"="1600x1200x32" Is there another way to try? Inside system profiler->display it only shows the 1280x1024 once osx boots up. I did the koverge patch and got everything working but the widescreen resolution which seems noone can get yet. Also it seems my enet was working all along. I see it in system profiler.
