I read a lot of topics here in this board and all over the net, but nothing helped so far. So thats the reason I'm opening this post. Maybe some of you out there can help me or tell me that my hardware is not made for osx or give me some small hints. So frist here are my system specs: MB : GA-P35-DQ6 rev 1.0 Bios F7 CPU: Q6600 GPU: Geforce 8800 GTX RAM: 4GB I have a fresh bought Retail DVD 10.5.6 here and some distros from the net (indeneb,iaktos etc) nothing worked so far. I downloaded a P35 chipset bootdisk and tried the retail DVD installation. No success.. I get a kernel panic right after booting from the retail dvd. The error is something like "BSD process name corresponding to current thread:.." Same problem with the distributions. Does anyone of you out there have the same specs or motherboard ? I'm kinda disapponted, coz i thought my system is pretty hackintosh friendly. I appreciate any response ! Thanks in advance ! Is this board capable of running a hackintosh Vanilla ? Do i need a custom kernel ? I know the board is bit older, but it was a very common MB a year ago or so .. There must be someone out there with this Board and a hackintosh , right ? GA p35-dq6 q6600 8800gt 4gb 1066Mhz ram I installed ipc osx86, and it works great, but i haven't find any driver yet for gigabytes ethernet on the motherbord... And i haven't tried motherboard audio, because i'm using usb soundcard ( soundblaster live usb ) It is working with osx, not perfectly, but it's working. Original osx works only on mac or macbook if i know it right ( i'm a quiet new osx user ) so you have to download iPC osx86 or some hacked osx like that for pc. iPC has some built in drivers, from you can choose at the installation of the os. You have to find the matching drivers, if you select all, it will not work. Dude, I have the same board. EVERYTHING working including onboard ethernet.
