When i boot .. either -x, -f .. all with a -v it hangs in the same place?! This is what i get... "Couldn't read user-specified Computer name; using default" "Couldn't read user-specified local hostname; using default" "Couldn't read user-specified Computer name; using default" "Couldn't read user-specified local hostname; using default" And it hangs.! Please help! Compaq Presario c700 1.6Ghz Intel 2Core 1.5GB RAM 60GB HD CD/DVD-RW Hellp!! [uPDATE] Just left for a few mins on the hang Get this, repeats every few mins "Cache Boot Avoid Timed Out" Or something like that? SteveWasTaken Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 What installation options did you choose? such as kernel, drivers etc. It can take a very specific selection for the computer to boot, as I had to install around 3 times using iatkos with various options until i found one that worked for my hardware.
