I'm not usually one to doubt something, but I've been messing with Kalyway/iPC/iDeneb since 8 this morning. I've sucessfully gotten it up and running on a Dell 518s with Audio/Net working but installing the video card drivers is proving problematic.

Anyhow, what this thread really is about is installing OSX on my main system. The only install that has ever gotten past the post install phase is Kalyway 10.5.2 and that was without functional net/video. But it does show that it would 'potentially' load on my system.

However with iDeneb 10.5.6 as well as iPC 10.5.6 after I install I am having one of two things happen when I go into verbose:

AppleNForceATA: found 0 units followed by

kextd[10] IOKitWaitQuiet()

And it just hangs.

I have already tried the TEST version of AppleNForceATA, same thing. I have tried every Kernel. I am now attempting a base install of ONLY the Chipset drivers. Here is my setup:

evga 680i LT SLI

8800 GT x2

WD Raptor (Sata) connected to SATA port 6

WD IDE Drive, set to Master.

Pioneer DVD drive set to Slave

E8400 3.0 ghz CPU and 4gb ram. I've tried the >4gb fix as well.

As far as BIOS settings go I have tried changing into many configurations as well as disabling HPET. There exists no option for AHCI in the bios. What is even more troubling is this user is reporting a fully working system:

http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.6#eVGA under EVGA section under motherboards, almost an identical setup as me as well as the same Distro (iDeneb) and same version of Leopard 10.5.6)

Few things I'd like to know (No theory here, facts only please. I've had enough of a headache googling for 30 hours)

What are those errors caused by?

What are the specific kernel/chipset/audio/video options I should be choosing during install? I just did an install with NOTHING but a chipset driver checked and now I run into the loop where it acts like it wants to go into GUI and I get a "You need to restart your computer" message in a few different languages.
