I'm trying to install OSX on my Acer Aspire M3201, using Kalyway 10.5.2 AMD/Intel.

So far I've freed about 16GB of partitionable space and burnt the ISO to a DVD without any patching, changing or fiddling arount with its contents.

The space I freed formerly was a hidden Windows-Partition which identified as /dev/sda1 under Linux (yes, the Acer-Restore-Whattheheck-Partition...).

When I boot up the DVD first of all the installer starts, asking me to press F8 to choose boot options.

If I boot up without options or with verbose (-v) there appear three lines of "Reading HFS+ file...", then the machine reboots.

If I enable safe mode (-x) it reads a number of files, kernel extensions, and drivers for about 2 minutes, then it reboots.

Single user mode (-s) won't help because until now I can't even boot to this point.

It doesn't make a difference whether I choose sleepkernel or speedstepkernel (all others would require SSE3, according to the readme), neither does cpus=1.

My System:

Acer Aspire M3201

AMD Phenom Quad-Core

4 GB RAM

video: nVidia GeForce 9800GM

audio: Realtec ALC8887

ethernet: Marvell Yukon (Linux-module: patched sky2)

PS2 mouse and keyboard

plus great number of nonsense input and output stuff like card readers, digital video out, maybe somewhere a hidden cupholder or destroy-the-universe button which I don't need at all...

Oh, and me and my wife own a number of Macintosh notebooks as well as one spare Leopard licence.

I'd really appreciate some hints in the right direction.
