Hi!

I am trying to install OS 10.4.5 on my Intel-Machine. Unfortunatelly the installer-boot from the DVD-Image [MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL/AMD/SSE3/SSE2), DVD-R, burned from ISO with Nero] does not even get to the GUI.

Using the -v option I get the following output:

...then the machine hangs forever...

I previously installed the 10.1 dev-version on this machine which worked fine with the platform X86PC boot option. I tried X86PC, ACPI and -x options for the DVD-Image but it did not work, anyway.

Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 460; 64 MByte RAM, Vesa 3.0 (AGP)

DVD-reader: Artec DHI-G40 (is capable of DVD-R)

Please help me to get this working.

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

I've now tried another DVD-Image (Mac OS X Install Disc c86) - but same behaviour...

The 10.1-version which worked on my machine was not installed by an DVD-Image but directly copied to the harddrive via Linux-Live-DVD.

Please help me :-)

I really appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance!
