Gujal
The versions of Kernel, seatbelt.kext and system.kext should match for the thumb drives to mount correctly. Check your system and adjust/restore the matching versions Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/167999-usb-thumb-drive-stopped-working-after-1057-update-solved/#findComment-1164738 Share on other sites

crackity_jones
The versions of Kernel, seatbelt.kext and system.kext should match for the thumb drives to mount correctly. Check your system and adjust/restore the matching versions When you say adjust/restore does that mean you can alter the version numbers of the kext files? or you just need to find older matching versions and copy them in? Maniac10
He means you'll have to delete the existing kext and replace it with an older/matching version.
