KringeL
first of all, sorry for opening the third thread now, but the two first ones did not show what i wrote, seemed to be some kind of bug. I hope an admin could close these, thx (here and here) here is my initial issue: my hardware: Asus M3A78-EM Bios Version 1602 AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE 2.8 GHz 2x 2048Mb DDR2 1066 Sapphire HD 4850 512Mb GDDr3 Sata HDD Sata Optical Drive my problem: Before getting to the installation of OS X the boot screen freezes (without the spinning wheel) in -v it freezes with "Waitung for Boot Volume with UUID *and a whole lot of digits*" "waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</Key><String ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string id="2">boot_uuid_media</string></dict>" I tried flags cpus=1 cpu=1 maxmem=2048 kernel=Voodoo -> didn't change anything I tried iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6, iDeneb 10.5.5, iPC 10.5.5. I even made my own boot 132 loader using this guide from hecker, where i used the kexts for the sb700 (from here) southbridge and the 4850 (from here) which conducts the same error or rebooting the whole system (I guess do to me using a retail 10.5.2 - till I get hold of a 10.5.7 one). Same applies for a boot 132 which i build using the SLimbuild GUI 132-making thing with the voodookernel and the same kexts. Having read these threads about the same error but on other mainboards (here, and here), I tried to disable the onboard graphics in bios which is not possible. (only options are "auto" and several memory amounts from 32 to 256Mb). Apart from that, SATA is set to "AHCI" (again there is no option for "IDE" mode in bios) ACPI 2.0 is enabled USB legacy is set to "Auto" (other options: "enable" "disable") and anything I considered unnecessery such as serial ports etc. is disabled. (please correct me) I tried to help myself but now I m stuck and have no idea anymore. Hope i didn't overload it with information. anything is much appriciated - maybe someone who has got the mainboard working could tell me how he or she did it... Thanks in advance.
