smocksturr
Hello all. You've been terribly helpful in the past and I'd appreciate some help on this. Specs are as follows: E2200 Pentium Dual Core @ 2.8 GHz MSI P6NGM2-L nForce 610i board GeForce 9800 GT 60 gb PATA HD PATA DVD drive 3 GB DDR2-667 RAM I'm running Kalyway's 10.5.2, default to the sleep kernel. It wouldn't boot off the bat unless I loaded JaS's 10.4.8 APIC and ACPI kexts. Unfortunately, this causes the computer to enter a reboot cycle unless the kernel flags "cpus=1 -v" are added. I'm running Chameleon 2.0 RC. Everything else about this board is fixable (it seems), ALC888 audio, etc. But the whole single-core thing is going to be a pain... I build this for Logic 8 Firewire recording, and a single core processor sucks. It's also quite sluggish as an OS right now (could this be related to NVinject?) Any help would be much appreciated. I'm currently looking through modded DSDT bioses... is that the solution? Thanks, Drew EDIT: I found one for a P6NGM-L... looks like the 630i board though. Would the BIOS be compatible? smocksturr
Would updating all the way to 10.5.6 fix this? I read somewhere that DSDT is no longer required... will this allow me to use 2 CPU cores?
