My motherboard is a Gigabyte EP43-DS3L, as many here already know, I have to set SATA to AHCI mode in bios for Leopard to recognize my SATA devices (HD, DVD etc).

Currently, my PC has the following hardware:

DVD1 - SATA

DVD2 - IDE

HD - SATA

EXTERNAL SAMSUNG HD - USB (That's where I want to install Leopard)

I've burned a modified BOOT-132 ISO to a CD and, for some reason, only my SATA DVD Drive can read it, the IDE DVD Drive doesn't read it. But the IDE DVD Drive can read the Leopard Retail DVD normally.

Ok, so I put the BOOT-132 CD on the SATA DVD Drive and boot it. Then it asks me to select the drive to boot. I know that 80 is my SATA HD and 81 is the EXTERNAL SAMSUNG HD USB, and 9F is the SATA DVD.

If I put the Leopard Retail DVD on the SATA DVD, it loads and stops at the error "Still Waiting For Root Device". I thinks it happens because I didn't set SATA to AHCI mode in BIOS, and I've tried already setting another root device manually. I've tried rd=disk2s3 and rd=disk3s3 already, with no success. It's probably because the Leopard kexts can't recognize my SATA Drive as a Root Device because it is not setted to AHCI Mode.

What I want to do is to make Darwin boot my IDE DVD Drive as root device. I know it works, because the vanilla JMicron kexts work perfectly with my motherboard.

I've tried to put the Leopard DVD in the IDE DVD Drive but Darwin boot simply doesn't recognize it. I've tried MANY MANY MANY hexadecimal numbers combinations. 80 and 81 will redirect to HDs, and 9F redirects to SATA DVD Drive.

My question is: What is the hexadecimal number combination to make BOOT-132 recognize my IDE DVD Drive?.

Thanks.
