Using Kalyway 10.5.2 :

Asus Rampage Formula - E8400 +4Gb RAM

X48 + IHC9R working with RAID setted in bios

Marvell LAN working

Audio 1988B working

USB working

Video Nvidia 8800GTX working quartz

Time Machine working

I have try to fresh install iDeneb 10.5.6 and iPC 10.5.6

trying many combinations without success

seems only Kalyway 10.5.2 is working with ICH9 and RAID

I would like to upgrade to 10.5.6 keeping my current working drivers

Anybody can teach me how to do it ? :)

I used the Kalyway 10.5.3 combo updater then worked through this excellent tutorial.

It says it's for 10.5.5 but it worked flawlessly for me with 10.5.6 and 10.5.7. The main thing is to follow Mysticus's instructions carefully especially when using the post install patcher.

If you use a patched kernel with 10.5.6 or later you will need to reinstall the seatbelt.kext from 10.5.5 to solve disk image mounting issues.

I found the Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel the most stable for my Hacs.

Good luck.

I suggest you just go for the Mysticus method from 10.5.2 then. The post patch tool allows you to restore all your original drivers so shouldn't interfere with what Kalyway 10.5.2 installed.
