sev7en
Dear friends, it's since monday I'm reading/trying to install latest Jas' 10.4.6 release on my system, with no luck. I am really disappointed... here's my system configuration: Thermaltake Kandalf VB9000 with Thermaltake PurePower 680W ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe P4D 940 3.2@4.01 _Aero4wThermalRight XP90c 2x512 533 elixir DDR2 ATi Radeon X1800XT 256Mb 1 HDD WD P-ATA 4 S-ATA Maxtor 250Gb Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty I tried to disable the S-ATA drives, to set the CPU to default system speed but always the system freezes before launching the Apple's installation procedure (it shows the halt icon). I also noticed that: if I have an USB unit connected (external hdd as well as a simple dongle key) the installation stops and it shows me the error log. What's from in my setup? Thank you... sev7en
Thank you for the replies! So.. I did it and it's the 10.4.6! The problem was my overclocking setup: I set it to normal frequencies and it installed properly! There's another issue: anytimes I put an USB device (a pendrive as well as and external HDD) the system freezes or it is not recognized. What's new now? Cheers and thank you once again Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16736-jas-1046-and-p4d-940-p5n32sli-deluxe/#findComment-107993 Share on other sites
deltatux
try it a couple times. The Morotorla Rokr froze a couple times for me, then it worked after the second try. Sometimes your computer thinks it is one device while it is another. deltatux Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16736-jas-1046-and-p4d-940-p5n32sli-deluxe/#findComment-107997 Share on other sites

I sorted it out without patching: I have disabled by BIOS the USB Legacy Support and all USB peripherals now work like a charm! Valnomien
My download of Mac.OS.X.Tiger.10.4.6.X86.HOTiSO 4.38GB iso worked for me without doing anything else other than choosing customize during install and I had to check the proper boxes for my processor and sse3 and update combo, etc. Now my sound and LAN works even itunes and dvdplayer.
