i really need help with this

i have a computer with the following hardware:

  • intel core 2 duo e8500
  • gigabyte x48 motherboard
  • 4 gb of ram
  • gigabyte 8800gt video card
  • 600w power supply
  • microsoft usb keyboard and mouse
  • 22 inch asus monitor

i have jas 10.5.4 and i have tried many times trying to get it to work but there is no hope.

what is the exact customization needed i read on the os x x86 wiki that the e8500 needs the vanilla kernel but i cant find it there are only 2 other ones.

should i download another type of mac like ideneb iatkos kalaway or any others or should i stick with jas

some one please help me i have made several posts but no one has helped

Have you set your drive controller in the bios to AHCI?

When you boot the disc, at the boot prompt type in a:

-v

for verbose mode. Find out where the computer is hanging up.

Have you read any of the helpful installation guides? There are many of them on this site.

Khan

thanx for answering and i will set the drive controller to ahcp but do you know the right components to install

My advice is to check the HCL on the OSx86 website. The modded install ISO have kernels on them already and a vanilla kernel means one that is not modified. Have your BIOS settings right, run the disk with -v as Khan_Man suggested, and then try trial and error with the customizations. Good Luck and make sure to read as much as possible on these forums because I'm sure someone already has asked the questions will come up.

;)
