Skywise_ca Posted May 22, 2009 Share Posted May 22, 2009 Ok, I've been using efix for about 1/2 a year and it's been a nice simple world. Recently though, the dongle has started vanishing/reappearing at random and now it's vanished completely. The PC this is hooked to is my main PC and while it's alive at the moment, I can't reboot and it would really like one. (smb mounts to a linux box have failed and processes are starting to lock up in kernel calls) Has anyone weaned an efix system off the efix device? What can I use to boot from the HD? What kexts do I need? (MB is a Gigabyte EP35-DS3P and video is Nvidia 9800GT) I like the efix itself, but support is horrible and at $200 per unit, just grabbing a second one would be silly.
