elhefenofx
Hi im new to the forums and decided to register cause i seem to be having more than the normal amount of problems installing Leopard on my machine. First i tried Tiger, on VMWare 6.5, and it worked, without a single issue. Then, i decided to test Leopard on my VMWare 6.5, no luck, never even get to the install screen. ive read the forums here, other forums, diferent articles, and still cant seem to get what the problem is. This are all the versions i've tried. Leo4Allv3 Leo4allv4.1 Leo4Allv5_Server_AMD_Intel iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 iDeneb_v1.4_OSx86_ISO iatkos v4a Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2] Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd Zephyroth Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI-Rev2.iso All of them hang at diferent posts but pretty much the same, under VMWare. So well i burn all those images to DVDs and started testing one by one, until finally, Leo4All v4 and Zephyroth where the ONLY ONES in which i actually got to the install screen. My rig: AM2 Athlon 64 4400+ M2NPV-VM 4GB Ram Ati HD4850 Sata1: 250gb WD 7200 16mb buffer (tried as well WITHOUT this hdd, this is where my vista os resides) Sata2: 500gb Seagate 7200 32mb buffer Sata4: DVDRW Pioneer 16x (yes nothing on sata 3) In Leo4All after doin a couple installs selecting nforce, my audio my lan and my ati and not have it woring, I tried selecting pretty much nothing but what it came as default, and also excluded languages, audio drivers and ethernet drivers. NForce Chipset drivers tried the 3 (OLD NForce, NforceTest and the other one i dont remember the name i think its Nforce Chipset) Same with the ATI drivers, tried without, tried with 3850, 3870, and 3870x2 Same thing with Zephyroth, tried with different video sound and network drivers. Also i tried with no video drivers, and disabled de LAN and AUDIO on BIOS so it wouldnt need installing. In all those attempts, it installed ok, with no probs, and when it rebooted, i started darwin with -v and thats where it gets Error i get is CS_INVALID_PAGE: p=44[CONFIGID] clearing CS_VALID, dont know if its the actual number or not, but prertty much thats the error Or i will get to NETWORK INTERFACE NAMER: No network interface found: Sucess Im pretty much out of ISOs to try with and dont know what to do. Ive seen posts by people with my mobo and have it to work (but i've never actually seen a post with MY MOBO and MY ATI) so i thought maybe im selecting something wrong in the Customize Install. If anybody could give me a hand with this i'd be grateful!!!!! Thnx in advance (and sorry for the bad english if there's any) Adrian Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/167325-leopard-install-m2npv-am2-4400-hd4850/ Share on other sites
