Which distro is best for a HP Pavilion a1630n

Hello!

 

Wow, it's been AGES since I posted here again. Hello again.

 

I'm still the proud owner of a late 2007 build Macbook and together with CoolBook it runs better than it ever has.

However, I'm not here for myself today.

 

I have a friend who wants to try out Leopard since well, I've shown him some videos of how I work in OSX and how flexible the OS is and he's very eager to try it out himself. However I all information I have at the moment is that he has this PC:

The AMD version. However he/we have no idea what to select as packages and such and already had 2 installations not work before. Is there any distro that you sages can recommend us?

 

And is there perhaps a tool which could output some data that I can post here which may help in determining which distro will be the best?
