Sometimes the process stucks at 100% cpu usage and the only help is to reset my pc. Is there any Tool like process explorer to find out what app is responsible for this process? R3van Posted May 22, 2009 Author Share Posted May 22, 2009 So, after a bit of research i`ve found this: update: Responsible for keeping disks synchronized with the file system cache, to keep data loss to a minimum in case of a crash. The update command executes a sync subroutine every 30 seconds. This action ensures the file system is up-to-date in the event of a system crash. Beerkex'd Posted May 22, 2009 Share Posted May 22, 2009 Nice. I looked at mine for a minute or so but it doesn't go past 1% at any time. Try copying a big file from one HDD to another or from folder to folder and see if it takes lots of CPU cycles. Maybe it's a configuration problem or driver problem. btw, if you find a good site that lists Leopard system processes, please share the link.
