MithrilFox
I realized that the other day I was beginning to experience constant kernel panics. I got 4 in less than 4 hours. But at one point, I went all night without a panic. What was going on? And then I realized it... I had installed iAntiVirus, an antivirus program. I was curious to see if I had collected ANY malware and ran it...and it was remaining resident. After removing it from startup and closing the program... No more panics. Double-check that it is not a stay-resident program causing your panics. Anti-virus is a prime suspect, and so is any program that does any low-level hardware access. MasterKopek
I'm definitely going to give this a try as I experience seemingly random kernel panics. I'll report back in a day or two on how it went. Update: So I can't really say it made too much of a difference to me. It's possible that it helped, as I have only experienced one KP since uninstalling 5 days ago, but mine were pretty infrequent anyway. Regardless, I am going to leave iAntivirus uninstalled, and follow through with this.
