Toshinori
Ok, so I just installed 10.4.6 on my laptop yesturday, but I'm having some problems. So far I haven't been able to get the soudn working, which I know is AC97. I used the driver made by macgirl, but when I try and kextload it, it gives me an error, telling me that it was installed wrong. I used the installation process outlined in this guide http://www.nedprod.com/Niall_stuff/MacOS%20X/index.html Any help there? Also, my network cards don't work. Neither my ethernet card, nor wireless. I wasn't really expecting wireless to work. However, I have a "Marvell Yukon 88E8036 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller." At first I though it was a Yukon 2 card, so I figured it would work out of box. But that didn't work, so I tried to the Yukon 1 driver... that still didn't work. I don't know if I just set something up during installation, or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it helps any, I used Jas' 10.4.6 install DVD, then patched the iso itself with the Jas AMD, ATI enabler patch... :EDIT: I just remembered, that only sometimes does OSX recognize disks in my DVD drive, sometimes it works, sometimes not. I haven't been able to figure out any particular pattern yet. :EDIT: If it helps any, here's my system specs AMD 64 3700+ (stock clock at 2.4ghz when plugged in (for some reason OSX says it's a 3.3ghz... I'm not going to complain, but it's a little strange)) ATI Radeon x600 (I don't have any problems with this, with the exception of it not running widescreen, but I can live with 1024x768) Marvell Yukon 88E8036 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter That's all that I can think of right now. Again, any help at all would be greatly appreciated, and if there is any more information that would be useful, just let me know.
