Achromatic
So I reinstalled 1.4 with 10.5.6 following an abortive attempt at 10.5.7. I am getting periodic crashes fairly regularly, when I never was, before. I am using Vanilla 9.6 kernel. Regularly, some apps will crash to a rainbow beach ball, and cannot even be Force Quit'ed. These are system apps, too, anything from System Prefs to Disk Utility... Occasionally I get a bootup crash: panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A9C68): Kernel trap at 0x79502f6e, type 14=page fault... ... Backtrace terminated-invalid frame (obscured by message box) Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (obscured) com.apple.security.seatbelt... (obscured) BSD process name corresponding to (obscured) Mac OS version: Not yet set Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 9.6.0: Mon.... (obscured) So it would appear that seatbelt is the only module loaded... but opening DMGs is fine, so it's not the usual seatbelt issues... Any suggestions on where to begin? My system is on a P35-DS3L board, Core 2 Duo... as I said, previously was working fine (though I didn't make a note on any fixes applied, but very minimal)... this time round only ones I went with were ALC888 driver and NVdarwin 512mb for my 9600 video card.
