Snowman117
Hello I was just wondering if anyone can help me out! I have been looking all over the place to find a way to fix this. I have Leopard OS X 10.5.2 (Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI-Rev2) installed on an HP Pavillion a1007w desktop,1gb RAM, 2.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 Processor, ATI Radeon 9600 Videocard, it has the stock soundcard that came with the computer...its integrated AC97 but I dont know what company. I have the kext installed for ac97 sound card (AppleAC97Audio.kext) and for some reason it will not work. When I go into 'Sound' in Preferences and on the Output tab it says "No Output Devices Found" and I get no sound at all. The os installed good and works pretty well just no sound and I am unable to change the resolution from 1024x768, but I'm only worried about the sound right now. I put a few pictures in this post for anyone to look at. I have tried quite a few different options. I went into Terminal and tried some different codes I found online and none working. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks in advance :-) AppleAC97Audio.kext is under Macintosh HD( my local disk)/System/Library/Extensions i tried replacing the file and still not working.
