I managed to successfully install MAC OSX onto an Asus R1F Tablet today (finally) after numerous failed attempts using iATKOS v5i. I ended up using iDeneb v4 (OSX 10.5.6) and even managed to upgrade to 10.5.7 without issues (yet).

How it did it:

Installed iDeneb v4 from CD ROM using the following options:

-Essential System Software

-Optional Boot Loaders -> PC EFI v9 (needed for software updates)

-System Kexts

-Optional System Kexts -> Disabler Kext (not AppleHPETDisabler!)

-Chipset -> Intel ICHx (need for ICH7)

-Graphics -> Intel -> GMA950

-Audio -> AppleAzaliaAudio

-Network -> Realtek R1000

-Power Management -> ACPIBatteryManager (Chun-nan)

-Power Management -> OpenHaltRestart (fixes shutdown issue)

-Others -> USBSleep (supposed to fix sleep; which it kinda did but system does not have keyboard/mouse on resume)

You can also select OSX86Tools or download it off the net after install completes as you'll need it to backup and install kexts if you plan to upgrade to 10.5.7

Remember to boot first with the "-f" flag to properly setup the hardware.

This had almost everything running smooth after the install. (there were issues with the pen not being calibrated but it was working, and sleep did not work either. Bluetooth also worked after install, however it is a little problematic as the wifi card is not supported, so you have to actually switch off both wifi and bluetooth upon a restart and then restart, turn back on the wifi/bluetooth switch, and it comes back upon loading)

Note that there is no input with sound using the AppleAzaliaAudio kext, but the volume slider DOES work (which it doesn't with some laptops) and also the FUNCTION KEYS for the screen brightness work as well (and so does the wifi function key, but NOT the volume function keys)

I then used OSX86Tools and backed up my system extensions.

Then I ran the software system update and allowed it to complete (did not run any terminal scripts or anything to see how it would work; and it did! Everything even came back after the upgrade, like sound, lan, and bluetooth. But the shutdown was now broken, and after attempting everything I could to try and fix it (mostly by re-installing the OpenHaltRestart.kext) I eventually gave up, backed up all the 10.5.7 extensions using OSX86Tools and then RESTORED my originally backed up extensions from earlier (the 10.5.6 ones) and then rebooted when prompted, once loaded I opened OSX86Tools and ran the first 3 maintenance options (repair permissions, set extensions, clear extensions cache) and then rebooted, (pressed F8) and did the "-f" flag at the bootloader screen to force the restored exensions to load. then once loaded I simply tried my shutdown and it worked! Upon reboot, everything else was running smooth (even tried running verbose to see if there were any issues in me using my old 10.5.6 extensions but nothing really differed).

So once that was done, I took on the task of getting the Tablet functions to work properly. I found that using the latest WACOM package does not work; Nor does the one suggested in this form (well, it does but as said previously you need to constantly re-install it!) The package "cons510-3_int.dmg" works GREAT with 10.5.5 and up! (find it here: http://www.wacom-europe.com/index2.asp?pid=29 --- select mac osx and wireless pen tablet and find the file "DRIVER 5.10-3 RC FOR MAC OS X V10.3.9, 10.4 AND 10.5". I repaired permissions after install and did a reboot again with the -f flag just to make sure it was loaded and running smooth. AND IT HAS ON EVERY REBOOT.

Update: Got the fingerprint scanner working - just download and install the following program: http://www.upek.com/support/downloads/mac/

Now I just need to get the sleep issue fixed. Using the USBSleep fix off the iDeneb install helps the system actually enter into sleep mode (without the computer screen just went blank but stayed powered on) but when the system comes out of sleep, the keyboard and mouse no longer work (nor the pen). I will post again if I find a fix.

Also I plan on getting a better audio driver to allow for input (and I belive AnV is working on one) but this might be a long shot for now. Also need to figure out how to get the screen rotation to work.

And as for the wireless lan, it DOES NOT WORK YET. However, there is developmental drivers out there for the Intel 3945 chipset, but I've had no success with them and find they are more problematic than anything. I have a 3G PCI Express card which I was using on my Toshiba A100 Mac OSX setup and plan on testing on this machine as well (I'm fairly certain it will work) If you can, wait it out for now, otherwise look into a replacement for the wifi card.

I hope this helps anyone else trying to setup their ASUS R1F Tablet with Mac OSX. :)
