Doesn't work for me.

I have a Toshiba A100 notebook.

I also tried the Kext, but still no hope.

I once been able to put it into sleep mode perfectly using AnV's XNU Kernel V1.4 in 10.5.6.

After I upgrade to 10.5.7, everything else is fine, but the computer can not resumer if I put it to sleep. I can feel the cpu is really working hard, the fan is loud and the air is hot. Sadly, nothing happens.

I will give it another try if AnV updates the nice kernel.

Or delete AppleHPET.kext (doing this worked best for me).

Sleep doesn't work here, even with the "Jan Bird" checkbox checked. Hibernatemode 0. It puts the monitor to sleep and the system in perpetual coma.

Hibernate 3 mode only makes it worse, it doesn't wake again and I have to do a hard shutdown - reset button doesn't work. When it crashes like this, sometimes it resets my BIOS settings to the defaults as well. Pretty nasty. Upon boot, Chameleon will then try to load the (broken/corrupted) hibernate image and fail.
