Hey Guys,

as the title told you already: I want to enable SSE3 on my MacOS X 10.4.5.

I used the Myzar's DVD Image to install the OS.

For all my efforts on searching for solutions I absolutly don't have an idea how I can get this thing started.

By now just SSE and SS2 works. (the System Profiler tells me)

Thx for your help.

If you did a propper search im sure you would have found some information on this subject. But since im here,

I am guessing you have a AMD Processor

If your CPU has SSE3 instructions and by def is using a kernel that has the SSE3 to SSE2 emulation patch you Will Still be using SSE3 instructions built into CPU instead of the SSE3 to SSE2 translator, This is the Kernel that works for most AMD Users, you will still see no SSE3 Support in the system profiler. If you manage to get it to Boot without the SSE3 to SSE2 Patched Kernel you will still see no SSE3 Support in the system profiler.

We have been told and told if the Cores got it, it'll use it no matter what, Dont worry about it mate, How the OS and Software feel. smooth and fast.?

P.S make a Sig so we know what hardware you have.. make it easy for us all.

The reason for this is because Maxxuss' patch uses error trapping to intercept unrecognized CPU calls. If it gets returned as unrecognized, the patch checks it against a list of SSE3 instructions, and converts it to the SSE2 equivalent. So, even if the OS doesn't "see" SSE3, the commands will still be sent and executed if the CPU supports them.
