henious
Hi Guys I've successfully installed iPC X-DL 10.5.6 on my Toshiba Notebook and I'd like to install additional Drivers from DVD directly. I can boot DVD with "vanilla -cpus=2 -maxmem=2000 -platform=ACPI" but it really takes a lot of time to boot into the install-screne. Is there any solution to do this without booting DVD into the install screne? Maybe with OsXUtility or stuff like that? Thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166073-install-additional-driver-without-booting-dvd/ Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
You can extract kernel extensions from the DVD with Pacifist (google it). Or you can search the forum for the same files - most, if not all, of them are available here as well. caa4444
meh... put the DVD in when Leopard is booted, choose custom installation, uncheck everything first and only choose drivers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166073-install-additional-driver-without-booting-dvd/#findComment-1154054 Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
Just a word of warning; Only do the above if you're okay with the DVD installing whatever bootloader it came with on top of your brand new Chameleon 2.0 RC1 installation. If you haven't upgraded your bootloader since installing from the DVD, then go ahead.
